June 26: Hess Brewing Night with Torulus, Citrus Habitus and Habitus!
Mike Hess Brewing Company helped us kick off our Grand Opening two years ago, so it is only fitting we kick off the 2 year celebration with our Anniversary beers and a special one off keg of the very rare Torulus Barrel Aged Rye Imperial Stout!
Purchase a ticket and you will receive the commemorative Habitus 21.5 oz Willi pint glass along with 8 oz. pours of:
- Torulus Barrel Aged Rye Imperial Stout (the very first time this will be available on tap in 2013!)
- Citrus Habitus (Rye IPA brewed with Orange Zest and our 2nd Anniversary Beer)
- Citrus Habitus on cask (Rye IPA dry hopped with Orange Zest)
- Habitus (Rye IPA and our 1st Anniversary Beer)
Tickets are $19 and may be used anytime between 12 pm and 10 pm. The Torulus is a 5 gallon keg, so there are only 70 tickets available (hey, we want to drink a glass too!). Sorry, but the Torulus is only available with a ticket! Tickets may be purchased here.
June 27: 2nd Anniversary Brewmaster’s Dinner with Craftsman Brewing
We continue our 2nd Anniversary celebration with our next Brewmaster’s Dinner featuring Craftsman Brewing from Pasadena, CA! We hope you join us as Chef Nick Brune and Craftsman Brewing founder Mark Jilg collaborate to bring you six courses of delicious food paired with six California craft beers.
First Course: Halibut with Mango, Chili, and Coriander paired with Key Lime Wit
Second Course: Avocado Slaw with Apricot, Mint, and Crispy Shrimp paired with Ursa Minor
Third Course: Pear Juice Poached Potatoes with Lavender Chicken paired with Triple White Sage
Fourth Course: Praline Pork Belly paired with Acorn Saison
Fifth Course: Duck with Fried Shallot, Leeks, and Allspice Quinoa paired with Cabernale
Sixth Course: Toast, Butter, and Jam with Sourdough Ale

June 29: Euphoria Brass Band and AleSmith Vietnamese Speedway Stout
The 2nd Anniversary Celebration continues with a great Saturday of food, beer and music!11:00 am: We will also tap two kegs of AleSmith Brewing Vietnamese Coffee Speedway Stout- one on CO2 and the other on nitro. This brew rates a perfect 100 on RateBeer. This beer is epic.
8:30 pm-10:30 pm: The fabulous Euphoria Brass Band will be in the house again to play two sets! Just have a look at the photo to see what a rockin’ good time we all had when they played in May.
June 30th: Sunday Afternoon Bottle Share
We end our Anniversary Week with an afternoon of sharing great bottles of craft beer with friends. Bring a great bottle (or two max) of craft beer, and share and share alike!
This event is limited to 30 people. We are charging $5 pp to make sure you are committed and ALL proceeds will be donated to Mama’s Kitchen, a non-profit charitable organization, that prepares and delivers food and support to San Diegans affected by AIDS and cancer. Make your reservation here!
